Students in the village Shroma now have drinking water at school

School-based civics club students in the vollage Shroma school (Guria region) decided to address the problem of absence of drinking water at school. Students applied to ACETT program with a mini-grant proposal and have also mobilized the support from the local Government and school administration. As a result of these efforts, they were able to purchase water pipes, sinks, faucets, plastic water tank and construction materials. Local Government organized necessary work for the project.

As the result of good cooperation, school now has drinking water and this has also improved hygienic situation. In addition, students held workshops for peers about healthy life style and hygiene.

The project was carried out in the framework of Applied Civic Education and Teacher Training (ACETT) program, which is implemented by PH International in Georgia.
