On September 15, 2012 in Batumi civics club students of the partner schools of the ACETT program in Ajara region organized event dedicated to International Day of Democracy.

 

This day is established by General Assembly of United Nations in 2007 and is celebrated by different activities in many countries.

 

Civics club students prepared informational material on democracy issues and disseminated among the people in the central park of the city. Students called for active citizenship.  Civics club members also organized drawing on the asphalt activity. By paintings made on the asphalt students expressed their imagination about democracy.
