To raise awareness of community members on womens rights and gender equality, MT students from Shida Kartli region organized a contest – “Womens Voice. Students surveyed community members to study their attitude towards gender-based violence and the protection of womens rights.
Based on the results of the survey, students prepared presentations, essays, photos, drawings and videos to demonstrate gender-related stereotypes and gender-based discrimination.They also prepared posters to portray the different examples of violence and explained how to prevent and respond to them. Through their work students emphasized the role of women in the social and political life of Georgia and promoted gender equality.The winners were selected by the jury.
