Social media is becoming an integral part of our daily lives. In the school civic education programs funded by PH International and the US Agency for International Development (USAID), the social media component was significantly present, within the framework of which trainings were organized for students and teachers, blogs were created where students and teachers wrote about important issues for them. Contests were held to identify the best blogs and video stories created by students. A lot of civic activities were planned and implemented throughout Georgia using social media.

•  More than 880 students and more than 50 teachers from all regions of Georgia received training on the use of social media.

•  520 blogs were created by students, and another 100 blogs by teachers on various current topics.

•  124 civil education teachers were trained in creating a blog.
