How much have the cases of domestic violence increased during the self-isolation period? How much have the numbers of women’s appeals to the Public Defender’s Office increased? What regulations are being implemented after such appeals? What is the hotline number of the Public Defender’s Office? – these are questions asked by the students of Bodbiskhevi village public school during an online meeting with the representative of Public Defenders Office. Students discussed issues of early marriages and domestic violence.
Besides, students of Bodbiskhevi village public school decided to inform their peers about human rights and organized one more online meeting which was attended by students of Tsnori village public school №3. At the meeting, students discussed the Declaration of Human Rights, classification and history of document creation.
Afterward, they exchanged the information materials. Students prepared posters on the protection of womens rights and shared them through social networks.
Online meetings were held in the framework of USAID civics education program’s mini-grant- project “We Defend Our Rights.
