Civics students of the Guria region visited the Guria Department of Education and Gender Issues in the Ozurgeti municipality to learn about gender equality. Lali Sichinava, a member of the Ozurgeti Municipal Council and a representative of the Gender Equality Council, discussed the gender stereotypes that influence choosing a profession and spoke about employment opportunities in the public sector.
“We were interested in learning about the events in the Gender Issues Unit that are aimed at empowering and engaging women. We also told them about our civics activities and offered them an opportunity for collaboration, said Anano Chokhonelidze, a student of the Vakijvari village public school.
