In April 2018, students of village Askana public school met with representatives of Ozurgeti municipalityinfrastructure department to discuss the ways of village tourism promotion. Atthe meeting students talked about the importance of tourism informationalbanner’s placement in the center of the village.
The local authoritiesappreciated students’ initiative and in May 2018, a banner, describing 7 local touristic destinations was placed in the center of the village Askana.
