School-based civics club students of Tbilisi public school №119 implemented one more interesting initiative for the benefit of school and community. There are landslides around the school territory. To improve this critical problem, students with the support of civics teacher made the test of the soil to select plants that are useful for preventing landslides.Within a mini-grant project funded my MT program, students purchased seedlings and arraigned a greening action at school.

This is a good example of how students apply their theoretical knowledge into practice. In addition, civics club members shared information about disaster risk reduction to younger students of their school, organized an art show and disseminated information flyers at school and in the community.
