Outdoor sports space of the village Kvenatkotsa public school was in a poor condition for many years. This made it impossible to conduct outdoor sport activities at school.
Students decided to initiate rehabilitation of this space and started to mobilize supporters. Local Government, parents and alumni got actively engaged in the initiative: they provided construction materials and took part in rehabilitation works.
Students were able to obtain sports equipment with mini-grant funds from Momavlis Taoba Program. Basketball and handball competitions were held between teams of students at the sports space’s opening ceremony.
Students believe that the new outdoor sports space will be a place where they can spend a time in a comfortable environment. “I want to say with great pride that students of Kvenatkotsa public school are working hard to contribute to the school. They improved the territory around he school. I appreciate students; initiatives, who try to make school environment better together with adults. Thanks to everyone for their support,”-said Tsira Turmanidze, a principal of Kvenatkotsa public school.
