The students came up with the idea of the project during a visit to the Rustavi Bus Depot, where they toured the area, and learned about bus safety standards and other features of municipal transport.
After the visit, the students surveyed the community, as a result of which they found out that part of the population, specifically adults and elderly people, do not pay for public transport. Based on the results of the research, the students applied to the Rustavi City Hall and received the right to implement the project “Give me an example – pay” in municipal auto transport.
As a result, the students were assigned to the city transport and for several hours, together with the controllers, they helped the passengers to pay the fare. The students also distributed flyers provided by the representative of Rustavi Municipal Transport LLC, where the rules of payment in auto transport are explained and they promoted the use of School Cards.
According to the students, the goal of their project was to raise civic responsibility and self-awareness.
