School-based civics club members from village Tamarisi №1 public school developed a petition and work to improve the school environment. Around 300 students study at MT partner village Tamarisi №1 Public school.
Due to the fact that waste removal from school territory is maintained only once a week, a large amount of waste is accumulated at school territory and badly affects the environment.
To solve the problem, students made a petition, collected signatures from local community members and applied to the Head of Village Tamarisi Sakrebulo with an issue to allocate closed outdoor garbage bin at the school territory. Students request was positively accepted by local authorities and the request proceeded for further actions.
