A zebra crossing close to Tbilisi Public School №119 needed renewal.School based civics club students partnered with the local government to improve road safety in their community. With support of a Majoritarian MP of Gldani municipality Shalva Ogbaidze, a zebra crossing close to the school was painted; a sign for prohibiting trucks stop was installed; and an electronic sign listing the bus schedule was placed. In addition, the club members conducted simulation games – “Do we know road signs? to raise awareness of road signs and safety issues among their peers; and disseminated information fliers in the community.The local community appreciates students efforts.
