To raise awareness of community members on womens rights and gender equality, 10th-grade students of Tbilisi Public School № 118 surveyed community members to study their attitude towards gender-based violence and the protection of womens rights. The majority of respondents considered social instability and lack of education as the main problems.Based on the results of the survey, students prepared presentations, photos, drawings and videos to demonstrate gender-related stereotypes and gender-based discrimination.They also prepared posters to portray the different examples of violence and explained how to prevent and respond to them.
Students also gathered information about well-known women who made an impact on the protection of women’s rights. Through their work, students emphasized the role of women in the social and political life of Georgia and promoted gender equality.The best works were shared via social media.
