An online meeting on the protection of childrens and womens rights was held with Mariam Gvidiani, the representative of Public Defenders office in Kvemo Kartli region.The speaker talked about the Convention on the Rights of the Child and Public Defenders role in the protection of womens and childrens rights, discussed cases of child abuse and violation of womens rights during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mariam Gvidiani also gave recommendations to whom to apply and how to behave if their rights are violated.The information gained at the meeting will assist students of MT partner schools in Kvemo Kartli region to conduct further information campaigns to raise public awareness and understanding of childrens and womens rights in society.
