An online conference “The Role of Civic Education Teacher in the Formation of Civil Society” was held in Adjara and was dedicated to International Teacher’s Day.At the conference, civics teachers of MT program partner schools in Adjara region and the leaders of the civics clubs talked about the role of civic education in the process of forming a civil society and the results of the projects and initiatives implemented by them.”Teaching of civic education is especially important for students living in the mountainous regions of Adjara, because there are a lot of stereotypes in the society and the skills gained through civics lessons help us avoid them“ – said Khatia Abuladze, a student of Zemo Vashlovani village public school.Maia Khajishvili, Minister of Education, Culture and Sports of the Adjara Autonomous Republic and Marina Ushveridze, “Momavlis Taoba” program chief of party welcomed the participants of the conference and congratulated the teachers on their professional day.A total of 39 participants attended the conference.
