On May 16, USAID Caucasus Mission Director Mr. Stephen M. Haykin joined Ms. Tamar Sanikidze, the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia and Ms.
Marina Ushveridze, Chief of Party of “Momavlis Taoba program to open the fourth Civics Teachers; National Fair-Conference at the Tbilisi Exhibition Center. The Civics Teachers; National Fair-Conference brought together 450 participants from all regions of Georgia to discuss innovations in the field of civics education, share experiences, and participate in professional development.
Awards for the best civics teachers of the year were given to civics teachers at an award ceremony during the conference. Together with USAID, the event was co-sponsored by Teachers; Professional Development Center.
