On International Day for Biological Diversity (May 22) a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Batumi Dolphinarium and Momavlis Taoba project;s partner NGO in Adjara region-Batumi Education, Development and Employment Center. According to the memorandum, in upcoming months of the summer, students of MT project’s partner schools in Adjara region will participate in seminars on environmental protection issues.

Students will also carry out initiatives for the promotion of biodiversity. The trainings will end on the International Day of Dolphins (July 22), when students will organize the dolphins’ protection campaign.

“The young generation should that it is important to maintain biodiversity. Unfortunately today less attention is paid to environmental education.

I decided to start cooperation with students when I attended their flash mob show on the Earth Day. I found that they need more support from us to continue protection of environment” – said Ms. Natalia Zoidze, Manager of Dolphinarium;s Education Programs. The memorandum signing was covered by local TV companies Adjara TV and TV25. The initiative was supported by USAID-funded Momavlis Taoba Project, which is implemented by PH International.
