Civics students of Kekhijvari village public school established a “Creative Club. The members of the club provided a video lesson via Microsoft Teams program on how to make handmade items from the old objects, which were later exhibited online. Students developed the necessary skills for creating handmade items as part of a mini-grant project “Nothing is impossible, we are creating opportunities together”, which aimed at integrating their peers with special needs into society.
The activities of the mini-grant project continue during distance learning.Another useful video prepared within the project featured psychologist Mariam Gogichaishvili who shared important advices for the parents of children with autism. This video was shared through the social network and was especially relevant during this challenging time.
All the above-mentioned activities, as well as the arrangement of a resource room at school for the children with special needs was implemented in the framework of USAID funded and PH International implemented Momavlis Taoba project, with financial support from MAC Georgia.
