School-based civics club students of Imereti Region public schools met with Madonna Basiladze, Head of the Public Defender’s Office in West Georgia, and discussed issues interesting for them, such as early marriage, children’s rights and responsibilities, bullying at schools and how to protect them in our country.

“It is very important for us, for the young generation, to be actively involved in civic and public life, to get more information about human rights and responsibilities, to know what are the ways to protect them in our country.

Such meetings help us to raise our civic awareness- said Tinatin Labadze, civics club student of the village Nigvzari public school in Sachkhere Municipality.
