10th grade students of village Khindzati public school in Khashuri municipality conducted a survey to determine the quality of food products in the nearby shopping centres and found out that in some cases there was expired food for sale.In order to increase public awareness about healthy food and based on the results of the survey, students prepared presentations about organic products and genetically modified food. Students organized an exhibition of fruits and vegetables and presented a list of food products that cause various diseases among children.
Students also prepared and distributed brochures on healthy nutrition. A “Culinary Duel” was held at school for promoting proper nutrition, where participants prepared dishes from organic products and offered them to the invited guests.
