“In the Context of Camera Lens – this is the name of a mini-grant project of the village Kakuti public school in Kobuleti municipality, that aimed to develop journalistic skills of students in the process of solving community and school problems. The project participants actively collaborated with the representatives of local government and Adjara TV, who conducted a master class on recording, interviewing, sorting material, preparing video clips and for their publishing on social media platforms.

To identify problems, the participants of the master class developed questionnaires and conducted a survey in the community; Video clips on children’s rights, violence, discrimination, gender equality, bullying, and a healthy lifestyle were filmed. While preparing the video clips, they met and interviewed the Chairman of the Human Rights Commission of the Supreme Council of Adjara, representatives of local government, doctors, journalists, and teachers; Information campaign – “Bring Your Problem to the Camera Lens” was also conducted.

Besides, brochures containing information on the methods of identification of problems and maintaining the dialogue with stakeholders were prepared and distributed in the community. Thus, within the project, students gained a wide variety of experience and skills in problem identification, reporting, interviewing, material sorting, video producing, and how to use social media.
