Students, teachers and school administration members from our partner schools across Kakheti gathered at Telavi State University. Representatives of our local partner organization Media Center Kakheti discussed the results achieved during the academic year, while the students presented some of the best projects that they implemented during the year. The Program’s Partnerships manager Tamar Pruidze, the Rector of Telavi State University Shalva Tvhkadia and head of Telavi Educational Resource Center Levan Mrelashvili all gave speeches at the event. In addition, Peace Corps volunteer Diana Higuera discussed the importance of civic activism. Our program partners with 56 schools across Kakheti. During the 2022-23 academic year, student self-governments of these schools implemented more than 120 projects. The same amount of projects were implemented by school-based civics clubs as well.
