School-based civics club members from village Sagholasheni have identified community needs under their civics project. It turned out that old library renovation and youth center arrangement were critical issues for the local community.

To meet community needs, students first collected the signatures, prepared aletter and applied local government with a request to renovate an old, abandoned building in the village, where later on the new library and youth center will be set. Students’ advocacy campaign was successfully completed.

Together with local community members students sorted the old books and moved them to a new building. To enrich the new library with new books, students as well announced a book donation campaign.

Soon, local community members will benefit from the renovated new library and will also have the opportunity to participate in interesting, intellectual events organized by students.
