Tbilisi Waldorf school students implemented a mini-grant project “What is happening in streets? The project aimed to support integration of children, living in streets into the society. To find better ways of communication with street children, students consulted with psychologists.
Students established a contact with the children who live and work in the streets, provided food assistance to them and invited them to the park where they organized sports activities and spent free time together. Later on students invited the children to their school to participate lessons in sewing, painting and sculpting.
“Our new friends liked handicraft lessons. Some of them want to join the groups, we are happy to help them said Beqa Kvrivishvili, 10th grade students from Waldorf School.
Through this mini-grant project, students managed to establish a fruitful communication with 15 street children. The mini-grant project was implemented in the framework of USAID-funded Momavlis Taoba Program, which is implemented by PH International.
