“With our help, people in need from our village were provided with the face masks. Economically disadvantaged families need special care and attention, especially during the pandemic.
That is why it is the duty of all of us to help them – says Nino Gudadze, a 10th-grade student who is a member of the civics club at village Koreti public school. Socially vulnerable families in Village Koreti found it difficult to protect themselves against COVID 19 due to the absence of face masks.
This was an issue raised by students at the meeting held with the representatives of the local government in November 2020. Students talked about the needs of economically disadvantaged families, selected specific beneficiaries and agreed with the local government to provide them with a certain number of face masks.
As a result of successful cooperation and in compliance with state regulations, students delivered a total of 250 face masks to 12 economically disadvantaged families to prevent the spread of COVID19 in their village.
