Students of Village Ruisi public school №3 carried out a project, supported by MT mini-grant “Children against Bullying”. The project aimed to increase awareness of students about bullying and its negative effects.
Students studied opinion of their peers about bullying, then documented the results of the survey on leaflets and dfistributed them among students and other members of the community. Later, they arranged screening and discussion of the Georgian movie “Lake” with participation of students, their parents and a psychologist.
To explore more about the topic, students met with the representatives of the Police Department in Kareli and asked questions about bullying. They also organized essay contest and exhibition of students’ drawings about bullying issues at school.
Students, together with their civics teachers and psychologist plan to participate in a local radio talk show and cover the problem of bullying and their activities on this topic. The mini-grant project was implemented in the framework of USAID-funded Momavlis Taoba Project, which is implemented by PH International.
