The training was led by Paata Shanshiashvili, a representative of the International Technical Assistance Program of the US Department of the Interior, who discussed such important issues as Sustainable Development International and national law enforcement and security organization and planning services and public uses.
Management of natural and cultural resources within the framework of the training, participants visited the Mtirala National Park, which aimed to familiarise them with biodiversity and the rules of behavior in protected areas. The training was held within the framework of the USAID and USDOI-ITAP NPE program and was attended by students and teachers of schools located near the protected areas of the Ajara region.
At the end of the training, participants presented thematic initiatives, the implementation of which will be promoted within the framework of the small grants contest of the USAID Civic Education Program.
