The purpose of the Small Grants Competition is to help school students apply the knowledge gained in civic education classes in practice.

The Small Grants Competition is announced by USAID’s Civic Education Program, funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Within the framework of this competition, students will be financed for special, creative initiatives that support solving current problems for the school or society.

Priority will be given to projects that aim to raise civic awareness among students and promote their participation in democratic processes.

Students in the 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades, along with teachers and school administration representatives, from USAID Civic Education Program partner schools can participate in the Small Grants Competition.

You can see the list of schools eligible to participate in the competition nationwide at this stage. It is also possible to download and familiarize yourself with the draft project management manual, prepared within the framework of the civic education and teacher training program.
