Students of Kharagauli’s St. Andrew the First-Called Gymnasium, supported by a Momavlis Taoba program mini-grant, arranged a library and established a readers’ club at school.
The project was supported by the school administration; they provided the room and renovated the space for the library. Students shared information about the renovation of the library and collection of books through social media.
The action was joined by community members, local central and children’s libraries and the local youth palace. Students visited central library and saw the innovation center, arranged discussions at school, and developed the brochure “When to Read and What”, and made a video promoting the reading.
“The readers club will continue functioning – arrangement of discussions and meetings, reading of stories for kids, participation in events organized by the local central library, collection of new books for the school library,” said Marina Munladze, civics teacher of the gymnasium.
