At the end of December, 2016 Momavlis Taoba program hosted end-of the semester events in Adjara, Samtskhe-Javakheti, Guria, Samegrelo Zemo Svaneti, Imereti, Shida Kartli, Kvemo Kartli, and Kakheti regions. The events featured presentations of successful initiatives and mini-grants projects by civics students and teachers.
Students, teachers, school administration officials and local government representatives and media took part in the events and learned more about the concrete results of civics education activities of youth. In their presentations, students spoke about an impact, which their civic engagement made on their peers and in their communities.
Students prepared photos, posters, slideshows and videos to present their work. They covered the results they have achieved through cooperation with governmental bodies and other decision-makers.
At the end of the events students, civics teachers and supporters of students’ initiatives were awarded with certificates. The events were covered by local media. End-of the semester events will be finished in January, 2017
And-of the semester events were held in the framework of USAID funded Momavlis Taoba Project, which is implemented by PH International in Georgia.
