Students of St. Mary Religious School of Chokhatauri implemented a min grant project aimed to increase public awareness about trafficking.

Students met with representatives of the International Organization of Migration (IOM) to get detailed information about trafficking and about the ways of its prevention. IOM provided students with brochures and flyers and students conducted informational campaign in the village.

Students also cooperated with local media “Guria News and studied how to make a video. They purchased video camera with the funds from the mini grant and prepared two videos about trafficking.

Besides, newspaper “Guria News published an article “We are against trafficking- prepared by the students. This experience helped students to get more actively involved in civics activities for the benefit of their school and community. The mini-grant project was supported by USAID-funded Momavlis Taoba Project, which is implemented by PH International.
