Mukuzani School based civics club students cooperated successfully with the Gurjaani Municipality and Gurjaani Education Recourse Center in organizing a charity marathon to support the children with leukemia. Entry fees collected (0.5 Lari per person) were transferred to the Fund for the Children with Leukemia.
More than 400 students from the schools of Gurjani municipality took part in the marathon. Participants of the marathon were awarded with certificates.
“Marathon was organized for charitable purposes, but it also promoted healthy life-style among the youth, both activities are very important said Tamar Uzunashvili, a member of Mukuzani school civics club. The Marathon was supported in the framework of USAID-funded Momavlis Taoba Project, which is implemented by PH International.
