School based civics club students of village Khamiskhuri in Khobi municipality decided to solve some of the ecological problems of their community. In cooperation with school administration and parents, students organized a cleaning action on the school territory and in the center of the village.
The local municipality provided the students with plastic bags, gloves and transportation service of waste.Students and representatives of the local administration agreed that, additional trash cans will be placed in the village and timely transportation of waste will be provided.Students are planning to continue information campaign to increase public awareness about waste management issues.
