The International Youth Day in Akhalkalaki was marked with a large-scale event, aimed at activating young people as important partners for the engagement in civic processes. The 1st part of the event was dedicated to a discussion on introducing a youth policy document. The discussion took place at “House of Future” in Akhalkalaki and was held with the active participation of local school students. As for the 2nd part, it was loaded with various entertaining and cultural-educational activities. In Akhalkalaki Park the students arranged a flash-mob and delivered performances in dancing and singing. There were various games and street painting as well creating an amazingly dynamic and colorful environment. The partner of the event was Akhalkalaki Municipality City Hall which ensured the provision of a space for discussions, inventory and sound equipment. The activities were implemented in the frame of USAID Civic Education Program.
