Civics students of the Village Utsera public school in mountainous region of Racha implemented a project aimed to improve the school yard. They conducted informational campaign, cleaning action, and made advocacy efforts.
As a result, local government donated 2 trash bins and 50 young trees to the school. Students also cooperated with local forest department which provided wooden materials for benches.
The school administration installed a new gate. Students, teachers, parents and community members jointly planted donated seedlings in the school yard.
The mini-grant project was carried out in the framework of the USAID-funded “Momavlis Taoba” program, which is implemented by PH International.
