Active young citizens in different regions of Georgia took part in different activities to promote civic education. Informational campaigns dedicated to World Aids Day were held in the village Mukuzani and Telavi №6 public schools.
Students prepared infromation about HIV/AIDS, its prevention, treatment and stigma, associated with AIDS. This information was communicated to their peers and teachers in school.
Students also disseminated flyers and published “wall newspapers at schools. “Informational campaign aims to raise public awareness, because the majority of the population often stigmatize people with HIV.
Today we emphasized the importance of increasing awareness, fighting the prejudice and the need to improve education. HIV/AIDS
is not transmitted through friendship “- said Sergi Khozberuashvili, Civics Club member student of Telavi Public School№ 6.
