Students of the village Kvenatkotsa school-based
civics club worked to improve conditions for their peers from the village
Mokhisi through the mini-grant project of MT program. Some of the IDP students from the
village Mokhisi go to school in the village Kvenatkotsa.

The school
administration provides transportation for these students. But students of
elementary school have to wait for others until the lessons are finished,
therefore they have to spend some time in a school yard which was not very
comfortable, especially in winter time.

Civics club students initiated to
arrange space at school where these younger kids can spend their free time and
can wait for others. School administration supported students; initiative,
allocated the space at school and helped civics students to procure furniture,
books and table games within the mini-grant project.

This also became the place
where students can gather, organize meetings and plan future civics activities. Civics students took efforts to mobilize
community to support economically disadvantaged IDP households. Computer
literacy center in Agara joined civics students; charity initiatives and
provided free computer trainings for 8 students from IDP families. The
mini-grant
project was carried out in the
framework of USAID-funded Momavlis Taoba Project, which is
implemented by PH International.
