Mini-grants civics project “Books My Friends resulting creation of a reading corner at the local school was implemented by civics students during the last academic year. Under the project, students purchased bookshelves, based on their peers’ interest purchased new Georgian books and actively promoted Georgian literature among their peers.
In February 2021, Students decided to further promote their project and organized Georgian books reading hour for local primary school students. At the first meeting, high school students read Georgian fairy tail “At the Zoo and Other Stories. The process turned out to be very interesting, amusing, and interactive. Junior students drew their favorite heroes and shared their impressions about the presented fairy tail to each other.
Civics students will go on with this exciting activity offering any kid from a local school to participate in the joyful process of reading Georgian fairy tails.
