Students of village Khaishi Public School in Mestia Municipality renovated their school library. For years the school library had not been functioning, and the students could not read its books. The library was used as an archive and it was impossible even to enter it.The students decided to solve the problem and asked the school administration for help.

The school administration purchased tables and chairs for the library. Students, supported by their civic education teacher, emptied the room, checked and ordered books, and renovated and painted shelves, walls, and floor in the library.Today, an active readers’ club is established in Khaishi Public School, whose members often gather together with civic club students to read books and plan various activities.

Community members can also use the library.
