Grade ten students of the village Kindzati Public School in Khashuri municipality initiated to establish a Readers’ Club at the school renovate the school library and encourage the interest of students of different ages in reading books. Students organized different events such as literally evenings, quiz and essay contests, consideration of the topic “The Importance of a Book in the 21st Century” and discussions of the books they have recently read.
Students also enriched the school library with books of modern literature, restored old books and conducted an action – “Donate one book to a School”. The Readers’ Club will continue its activities – they will organize quizzes and literature evenings and discuss read books once a month.
They will also compile a book by the literary work of students. The mini-grant project “We Like Read Books” was implemented in the framework of USAID funded “Momavlis Taoba” program.
