School based civics club students of the village Adzvi public School in Gori Municipality conducted a survey in the community to determine the level of public awareness about the use of marijuana. Participants of the survey were 30 community members of different ages.
The survey results showed that community members did not have comprehensive information about the risks of marijuana use, as well as about the law.Students also visited Shida Kartli police office, where they got comprehensive information about the risks of drug use and heard about the law regarding the purchase, keeping and spreading of drugs.The members of the club prepared wall newspaper which was placed in the school, as well as booklet informing young people about the risks of drug use. These were also distributed among the community members.
